GHOSTWRITE

Born from the vision of Josh Luber, the founder of StockX and a passionate collector, ghostwrite sits at the crossroads of high fashion and collectible art.

We worked with the ghostwrite team to design a system as flexible as its ghostly canvas. With a wordmark that comes and goes with ectoplasmic ooze, and a typographic system with layers of depth, the brand system serves as a platform for its partners’ stories. A simple palette of gray tones let the ghosts’ designs stand out as the collectible pieces of art they are. We’ve created a material palette of soft molded paper, foam, and frosted glass like a soft cocoon for our little heroes, which arrive in a custom box ready to be displayed, opened, or archived.

In fact, the archival nature of collecting plays a large role in ghostwrite’s communication. Each release highlights the minute details of each design—its taxonomy, population, level of access—that determine its place in the collectibles ecosystem. The brand is an ever-growing archive, and the numbers, folios, and arrangement of information reflect that truth. Collecting is not merely about the physical object, but the thrill of the hunt. Each ghost is made for a cultural afterlife—every purchase grants the opportunity to own a piece of living history.

INDIFY

With Indify, artists are founders. Launched in 2015 by Shav Garg, Conner Lawrence, and Matthew Pavia, Indify is paving the way for a more equitable music industry.

The platform, which began with a unique algorithm that identifies and tracks growing talent, connects emerging artists with the funding they need to build bigger careers on their own terms.

Leading with a six pointed star as the logo mark, we helped re-launch Indify with a brand system that has two functions. To build trust with its network of investors and artists as a tech platform with extensive history using data to pinpoint, project, and pump up emerging artists. And represent an artist-led and avant-garde movement, resonating with our artist partners—creative souls who have left “the real world” to follow their passion, vision, and expressive voice.

Through analog textures and hazy, layered animations it emphasizes the grainy, colorful dream state of stardom.

DISCO MEDITERRANEA

Melbourne is going loco for Italo-Disco. The broad genre fusing boogie, disco and jazz-funk sounds that defined Italian popular music in the 70s and 80s is experiencing something of a renaissance in Melbourne, of all places.

Luca Muscato, one of the creative directors of multicultural music community, DiscoMediterranea, says that Melbourne’s cultural diversity and long-standing fascination with records from all over the world explains why folks can’t get enough of Italo-Disco.

Originally from Palermo, Sicily, (a city celebrated for its eclectic mix of marketplaces, music, and multicultural influences), Muscato co-founded DiscoMediterranea with a likeminded group of creative minds in 2019.

Enriched by a growing community of DJs and contributors, the project aims to connect people to the diverse sounds of the Mediterranean through multi-sensory experiences of music and storytelling.

Its roster of rotating DJs are infusing some of Melbourne’s most popular bars and venues with beats spanning the genre’s early years, through to sounds from its recent global ‘revival’ (often referred to as ‘Nu-Disco,’ instigated by a new wave of Italian producers and record labels including Mystic Jungle and Periodica Records).

BALLOON COFFEE

The latest and greatest Zurich specialty coffee company, born from the minds of two industry veterans – former Dutch Barita Champion and lover of all things fermented, pickled, brewed or roasted Coen van Sprang and engineer and coffee expert Patrizio Frigeri.

After years of working for European and Australian coffee roasters, Coen and Patrizio wanted to inject some vibrancy, joy and fun back into an industry that had become overwhelmingly minimal and serious.

Inspired by Coen’s hot air balloon travels through the coffee growing regions of Ethiopia, Balloon Coffee Roasters was born – a bold, yet playful identity that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

MAGIC SPOON TREATS

When Magic Spoon came to us with their newest product, Treats, we knew it was going to be important to maintain a clear visual relationship between their core product and this new offering.

Inspired by the structure and quirks of the existing Magic Spoon logo, we recognized an opportunity to give Treats the platform they deserve. To do this, we created a suite of custom Magic Spoon inspired characters and logo treats-ment.

The core cereal packages show the individual cereal larger than life, demonstrating texture and detail and we took this idea to the next level, making the treats themselves the hero of the packaging—positioning them larger than life and personifying them with a suite of cheeky expressions.
